Our 12- week professional artistry program is designed for those who want to learn the basics of makeup, pursue makeup artistry as a career, or elevate their knowledge.
Our way of learning is divided into three modules: Fundamentals, Area of Concentration, and Business and Marketing, each encompassing great detail in every element needed to be a successful makeup artist. .
All of the modules are offered in our professional artistry program. Each class is taught by some of the most seasoned and talented professionals in the Chicago market. Our mission for you to have an unparalleled experience, starts with our educators.
Chicago Makeup School is an in-person institution where we see the vital need for instructors to be present and teach by lecture and demonstration, and then guide each student in hands-on practice.
Fundamentals
Fundamentals is the most important part of the course. This is where students will experience their first hands-on practices and explore the world of makeup for the first time.
Under Fundamentals, students will be introduced to makeup history, facial structure, color theory, sanitation practices, skin analysis, the art of a flawless complexion, eye, eyebrow, lip makeup techniques, male grooming, the stages of beauty makeup, and much more. Students will finish this course prepared to choose their next step and find their focus.
Areas of concentration
We believe every makeup artist should be an expert in every area of makeup artistry. This is why students will have the opportunity to explore in-depth different career options within the industry.
Classes under Areas of concentration include Bridal Makeup and business, Basic Special FX, Makeup for TV/Film, Makeup for photography, Editorial Makeup, Fashion and Runway, Red carpet and beyond, tattoo coverage, Gender affirming makeup, Face chart design, Period Makeup
Business & Marketing
Talent, creativity, and skill aren't enough to start a freelance business; you also need a comprehensive understanding of how business functions in the makeup industry. This is why we sought out exceptional instructors in their profession to outline every element in this area.
Classes under Business Education includes tax education, contracts, marketing, financial planning and budgeting, industry business, and creating your brand.

12- week professional artistry program.
Fall session starts on September 10, 2024.

Duration: 3 Days a week, 6pm-10pm
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays
Total clock hours: 140
TUITION $5800
Payment plans are available for an additional fee of $220.
Non refundable deposit is required at the time of enrollment: $800.00. This amount will be deducted from then tuition fees.
What is Included: professional makeup kit, brushes, digital course handouts, headshots, portfolio shoot with images, Certificate of Completion.

Our 12-week professional Artistry Program is designed for those who want to learn the basics of makeup and pursue makeup artistry as a career. In this program, students will be introduced to makeup history, learn proper sanitation, skin analysis, creating a flawless complexion, eye, eyebrow and lip makeup techniques, male grooming, mature beauty makeup, tattoo coverage, TV/Film basics, and industry business, how to set up your business, how to assist, create a portfolio and get booked.
The first part of the day will consist of a presentation and demo followed by hands-on practice. Some of the business classes will be conducted via Zoom.
